Aventura maintains a large fleet of 28 to 47 ft. sailboats, for your use at very affordable
rates. When you sail with Aventura, you're the skipper, in command
of your own boat, saving the cost of a paid captain and going wherever
you want to go. You pay for the boat only while you're sailing, avoiding
all the high costs associated with owning a boat. Try sailing the Aventura
way, and you'll see it's smarter to charter. On your fully-equipped
Aventura charter yacht, you can

Go sailing for an afternoon and enjoy the whales, dolphins, seals, and
all our full-of-life ocean;

Race your fellow members around the buoys off Dana Point on an afternoon
or evening; -
Sail to Newport Beach or Oceanside for brunch or dinner;

Spend the night at another harbor along the coast (Long Beach? San Diego?)
in your "floating hotel";

Go fishing or scuba diving, from your own boat, in those "secret
spots" where the big boats don't take you;

Visit the Catalina Island you can only reach on your own boat, as
well as Avalon, and the other seven Channel Islands, too;

Race the famous Newport to Ensenada Race, and other big races and maybe
win a trophy!

Cruise off to Mexico's Todos Santos Islands, and Ensenada!
You'll be based in Dana Point, the best harbor on
the coast, with acres of free, lighted parking near the docks, so you
never worry about your car. And when you want to visit other areas,
don't take the time and expense of moving your boat. Just charter from
an affiliate club, almost anywhere on the west coast. Our members
charter in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, South Pacific, and all over the
world too! And as a member, you have your own key to the Club lounge.
Aventura has
a one-time initiation fee of $300. To charter our 30-foot and smaller
yachts, you must either take a certification test ($175), or take
our Basic course ($175 for members; $225 for non-members). You will
be billed $55/month dues, starting the first of the month after
you join. That's it! Of course, for your charters and other courses
and activities, there are additional charges which we'll be glad
to explain. We accept personal checks, Visa and Master Card, and
now American Express also.
