have passed tests for
both
Basic Sailing and
Coastal Navigation
(see the Sailing Instruction pages of the web site).
For Catalina trips,
we strongly recommend, but do not require,
Cruising Catalina Island.

This trip to Catalina's Isthmus is perfect
for when
moorings are plentiful, days
are long, and crowds are still down.
You'll visit Catalina's wild West End country, and the outpost of
civilization there.
Plan on a great barbecue on Saturday night on the beach, some good
hiking, snorkeling, or just lazing around,
and a great trip both ways across the ocean. You can reserve a boat
as early as April 1, if you are fully qualified.

Barbara Island and Catalina's Wilderness - August 8-10, 2008
A 4-day cruising adventure to the isolated
gem of the Channel Islands, Santa Barbara Island!
On the first night, you'll anchor at Cabrillo Beach on Catalina
to enjoy
a pot-luck supper, and get your
anchorage skills down.
Then, next day, it's on to Santa Barbara Island, about 20 miles west of
Catalina's west end!
Explore this 1-square-mile jewel that you (and the National Park
Service) own.
You'll come back spending Saturday night at Catalina Harbor
on the "Hawaii side" of
Two Harbors, Catalina, then around the East End.

Days - October 2-5, 2008
Join the fleet at Two Harbors, Catalina,
for a party second only to Aventura's Luau in July.
Come in pirate garb, practice the one-letter pirate alphabet (Rrrrrr!)
and enjoy a crazy good time.
With moorings at a premium this weekend, we strongly recommend a
4-day trip:
Leave Thursday, join your fleet for an on-shore barbecue Friday
night,be
a Buccaneer on Saturday, and sail back Sunday. There's plenty of
time to explore the west end of the island in the best sailing month
of the year.
Reserve as early as July 1 for this trip if you are fully qualified
- and you will want to be!
